For an award-winning historical fiction novel, based on the character Horatio from Shakespeare’s Hamlet moving on after the end of that play (re-set in early 16th century Denmark), I was asked to make two maps, one of the greater region in play, and one specifically of the Kingdom of Denmark. I used this project to further work on wood-cut textures, and was pleased how the effect turned out. [click on thumbnails for larger versions]
