Conquest of Violence cover – Princeton University Press
I spent my high school and college vacations working in a variety of capacities for Princeton University Press: organizing the Press library, cleaning and updating the general and copyright files, discovering rare books, packaging the Bollingen Series archives to be sent to the Library of Congress, and doing photo research for book reprints. Also delivering mail and moving furniture.
This was the last project I did for the press, as I moved to Minneapolis. The book is a 1958 classic on Gandhi’s non-violent philosophy in action, in a new edition. It is still in print. The illustration was in fiber-tip pen on drawing paper.
